Thank you for visiting the Engineers Club web site, we are pleased that you are here. Our Club is devoted to furthering the engineering profession and to interest the Kansas City Area's youth in the profession of engineering. Each year we award 30-40 scholarships to engineering students from the metro area. Perhaps the unique aspect of our scholarship program is that each student has a mentor, a practicing engineer, who is available throughout the year for consultation and guidance in their engineering studies. They provide counsel in career guidance, class selection, and general information about the practice of engineering. The funds for these scholarships are generated from three events each year. A Spring and a Fall golf tournament and a shrimp and bingo social in January. From these events, and our invested funds, some $30,000-40,000 is generated for area students. So our members have fun and are able to provide a valuable service to the engineering profession at the same time.

In addition to the fund raising events the Club holds a luncheon the first Monday of each month. This is not only an excellent networking event but the programs are both interesting and educational about a variety of aspects within our community. Please join us for a meeting and learn of the value that we provide to the profession of engineering. You may reserve a spot at one of our lunches by contacting our Reservations Chairperson.

You can also join by going to the membership portion of this site. The application form and related information can be found there. Applications for our scholarships are also soon to be available on the site so a student can down load an application, right here, and start the ball rolling to enter engineering and to obtain a scholarship. So please join us for some fun, to contribute to a good cause, and improve one of the oldest and most valuable professions in the universe, engineering. Please contact me if you have any questions or comments on our Club or the web site.
